‘One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ is one of the most amazing drama and comedy types of movies. It was released in the year 1975, November 19. The movie was directed by Miloš Forman. The story was written by Ken Kesey. The outstanding cast of the movie is listed below besides the characters portrayed by them:
1. Jack Nicholson who plays a new mental patient
2. Louis Fletcher who plays a nurse
3. Supporting cast of Will Sampson, Danny DeVito, William Redfield
The movie was brought to distribution by Warner Bros, America. It is based on a novel. The movie is two hours and 13 minutes long. The movie consists of a mental asylum where the main character is placed. He is not mentally unstable at the time. Although he is in a mental asylum he is in a very good mental state, he deceives the nurses in the asylum time by time. He takes the other people from the asylum out of the asylum sometimes. He’s very fun, loving, and very enjoyable guy. Jack Nicholson has portrayed his character very well in the movie. In fact, Jack Nicholson has won an Oscar for the movie also. After many tests conducted on him, he manages to deceive all the tests and prove he is not mental. He then made plans to escape the prison with one of the most enjoyable friends he has made in his time in the asylum. But, before skipping the prison he holds a party in the asylum when the guards are sleeping at night. Unfortunately, as it was the mental asylum things go out of hand and one of his friends dies in the movie. So his whole plan to escape the asylum is jeopardized as soon as he gets caught tomorrow. One of his friends escapes in the act. He is then sent to the facility where he is given some kind of treatment, which makes him actually mental. So the main theme of the story is that one of the friends who was in the asylum, say a cuckoo’s nest flies off here from the asylum or he escapes from the cuckoo’s nest or in the movie the cuckoo is portrayed by one of the supporting cast members. As the main character Jack Nicholson does not escape the cuckoo’s nest.
I think you guys should watch the movie. It is one of the best movies of a lifetime with a tremendous amount of humor and drama in the movie. Everyone will enjoy the movie surely.
