This movie was released on January 6, 2017. This biographical movie is about three African-American mathematicians working at NASA and their beautiful journey. The movie also depicts the bitter truth of racial discrimination prevailing in the past. The movie is based on the book of the same name ‘Hidden Figures’. This Oscars-nominated movie was directed by Theodore Melfi and the screenplay was written by Theodore Melfi himself and Allison Schroeder.

Plot Summary:

The movie begins with the time frame of 1961 in America. The opening scene shows Katherine Johnson and her two friends Dorothy Vaughn and Mary Jackson. They work in the calculation department at NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). Katherine is a very good mathematician. Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, and Mary Jackson are on their way to work in a car.  Just like every other day, their car stops working on their way. A policeman arrives there and asks for their ids. He even sarcastically comments on their color saying that from when the people like them (he meant black people) started getting jobs at NASA. Actually, the white and black people used to work separately at that time. Whites didn’t use to let the blacks come near to them and in the same way, didn’t even use to talk with them. There was heavy racial discrimination at that time.

 

At that time, America and Russia were in the competition of launching satellites into space so that they could spy on each other. Al Harrison is in charge of this project and is even the head of NASA. Everyone from the military and defense are pressurizing him to launch the satellites as soon as possible because Russia was getting way too forward. No one is helping him but just wants the result. Harrison asks to call someone who is very good at analytical geometry. But no whites were really good at that. So Secretary Mitchell goes to the West group (where the blacks used to work). Katherine and her friends are black. There she gets to know that Katherine is very good at that so she hires her to assist Harrison. Also, her friend Mary gets appointed to the hit shield department. There an engineer Karl Zielinski motivates Mary to become an engineer. But since Mary was a black girl, she was not allowed to study in a school where whites study.

 

Katherine now goes to the East group from the West group. There she doesn’t get much of a warm welcome. One of her co worker even hands her a garbage bin thinking that she must be a cleaner. Everyone stays farther from Katherine. When Harrison gets near to her and talks, he understands that Katherine has the caliber to work. Harrison doesn’t support racial discrimination. Paul, the chief engineer of the workplace doesn’t like Katherine.

 

Katherine asks one of the lady coworkers where the washroom is but the lady denies to tell her. She then goes to the west wing to use the washroom. They don’t even let her use their coffee machines. At the end of the day, Harrison throws all her calculations in the dustbin because he thinks she did everything so quickly in a hurry.

 

Another day a group of astronauts come there. They are getting ready to go to space for the very first time in history. One of the astronauts named John Glenn meets Katherine and her friends. He becomes happy and optimistic looking at them.

 

Paul starts getting more and more troublesome to Katherine. He hides some of the lines of the document so that it becomes difficult for her calculations. But Katherine with all her senses from the remaining data finds out the reason behind the failure of the past missions. Katherine does it so well that Harrison and Paul doubt if she is a Russian spy. They even interrogate her and they find out that she has genuinely done the calculations. Hence he gives him the other set of data for further calculations. Anna on the other hand has cased a file so that she too can study engineering in a white school. She gets approved to join the night class.

 

On the other hand, a piece of news spreads that Russia has successfully sent its astronauts into space. This news makes Harrison mad and makes everyone work overtime. When he checks Katherine at her desk, he doesn’t find her and he gets angry. When she comes there, Harrison shouts at her badly and asks her where she was. Katherine replies that she went to the washroom. He cross-questions her telling her who goes to the washroom for the whole 40 minutes. Katherine replies confidently that she doesn’t get to use a washroom here and that she has to walk half a mile to use the washroom. She even adds that no one comes near to her or talks to her. She tells that she is even given a different coffee machine and after working as hard as possible, she gets only half of the salary she gets. Harrison didn’t know about all this. He goes to the door of the ‘colored washroom’ breaks the board and tells the black ladies that they can use the washroom wherever they want.

 

NASA had to perform very precise calculations to send astronauts to the satellite. So Katherine had to attend high-level meetings too. Before that, neither a lady nor a black human had gone to such meetings. But now Katherine gets to go to the meeting and throw light on her calculations. Everyone attending the meeting gets impressed. Glenn too gets happy looking at Katherine’s work.

 

Katherine does all the calculations of the mission using her skills. But now since the IBM machines have arrived, Harrison tells Katherine that she doesn’t have to do calculations any longer and hence she can go to the west wing back. Hence Katherine has to go to the west wing now. At this time, Paul and his friends have stopped practicing racial discrimination.

 

Rocket is on the verge of launching now. But in the end moment, the calculations done by the IBM computers look faulty. No one gets any idea how that happened. Harrison calls Glenn and Glenn answers that he is ready to go to the space if Katherine does the remaining calculation. Harrison calls Katherine and she performs the calculations. At first, she is not allowed to come inside but later Harrison takes her to the operating room.

 

The calculations become precise and Glenn successfully gets to space and even lands safely. Paul and Katherine become good friends too. Also, Mary successfully graduates from the engineering school. Their other friend Dorothy also becomes the first colored supervisor of NASA. And the story ends with a happy ending. The movie ‘Hidden Figure’ depicts the oppressed hidden figures like Katherine behind the success of such a great project and gives a real view of racial discrimination prevailing in the past and a deep message against racial discrimination.

 

Logan

This sci-fi thriller was released on March 3, 2017. This Oscars-nominated movie was directed by James Mangold and the screenplay was written by James Mangold himself along with Michael Green, Scott Frank, and David James Kelly.

Plot summary:

The opening sequence of the movie shows the time period of 2029 where a man named Wolverine better known as Logan has become 200 years old. It is shown that since he has become very old he has become very weak and has lost his powers to self heal the wound. He works as a taxi driver in Texas. For the past twenty years, no mutant child has taken birth. All the mutants like Logan were killed and only Logan is left now. And now Logan too is tired because he has been fighting various missions since past years.

 

Logan has now become a heavy drunkard. He has even put his name his original birth name that is James Howlet. One day when he takes his passengers to the graveyard, a nurse approaches him and tells him that she wants help from him. Logan doesn’t pay any attention to her and leaves the place. When he gets back to his taxi, he finds a man in the taxi. He tells Logan that the nurse had something that he wants and even adds that if he finds her again he should call him. Saying this, he gives him a card where it is written ‘Alkali Transigen’. This is the same organization that does experiments on the mutants. And this organization was run by Striker. Logan was known as experiment no. X there. They injected a metal in his body and due to this his hands and his body became as strong as steel.

 

Logan now goes to the place where he lives. With him live two other mutants. One mutant’s name is Caliban. Caliban has the ability to detect where the next mutant is. Another mutant’s name is Charles Xaviers and he is very old. He is mentally unstable and they have to continuously inject medicines into his body to make him stable. One day, Logan gets late to give him the injection, and due to this, the old mutant shakes everything up and even lifts Logan in the air. And after that Logan puts an injection into his body and he calms down.

 

Next day Logan goes to the location to pick his passenger and that day too he meets the same nurse. With the nurse, there is a young little girl named Laura. The nurse knows that Logan is a mutant and she wants him to help Laura reach a place safely. She even says that she will pay 50000 dollars for that work. Since Logan was running out of money, he had to accept that. He asks her who Laura is and she replies that she is her daughter and her husband wants to take her away and that’s why she wants Logan to help them reach to North Dakota. Logan accepts that and says that he will come to pick her up tomorrow. The nurse gives him 20000 dollars as an advance.

 

Next day when Logan reaches there, he finds out that the nurse has died, someone has murdered her. She had her cell phone in her hand where she has replied to someone “On my way”. Logan doesn’t want to get into any trouble so he leaves the place. On his way he finds the same man who had told him to call him if he finds the nurse. He asks him why he didn’t do so and even asks him where Laura is. Logan tells him that he knows nothing. The man, named Donald tells his men to take a look in his home. And then Laura kills the men who went in to look for her. The people start firing toward Laura but she fights awesomely. She has metallic claws as well as feet and hence she rips everyone off. Then Logan, Laura, and Charles Xavier get into the car and run away. Caliban is under Donald’s control. He asks Caliban to detect the mutants but Caliban refuses that. But then he tortures him so bad that he has to do that anyway.

 

On the way, Logan watches the video left by the nurse. She tells that the organization used to inject the mutant into the bodies of women and they used to get pregnant and eventually the mutant babies would take birth. They trained these mutant babies but they were not that competent. So they performed an experiment called X-24 and it was successful and that’s why they decide to kill all those mutant children. The nurse used to work there and got to know everything and hence she helped the kids to run away from there. Knowing all this Logan feels that he should help Laura. Looking at the medical reports of Laura, Logan gets to know that they have the same DNA and hence Laura basically is Logan’s daughter.

 

He also finds a comic of X-men in her bag where it is written the same coordinate as told by the nurse to take Laura. So he understands that it is not a safe place but only a fictional place. Now Logan goes to his hotel back where Laura and Charles were. Everything starts vibrating and people get paused at the same place where they are. He also sees Donald’s men with guns in their hands. Since the men have paused, so Logan kills each of them and successfully gives injection to Charles because it was him who caused the vibration. Then they run away from that place because Donald was there.

 

On their way, they help a family to put their cattle on place and that’s why they give them place to stay that night. Logan goes to the farm to help the family with the pump and at the same time the successful mutant X 24 comes and kills everyone in the house, even Charles and takes Laura. But when he was leaving Logan gets there and fights with him. X24 also has the similar DNA and claws like Logan but he is way too powerful. Logan starts losing. This scene is seen by Caliban who is in a vehicle far away so he blasts the grenades in the vehicle that takes his owns life too. X24 gets distracted and Logan starts attacking him. But x24 keeps winning and now he is on the verge of killing Logan. And at that time appears the owner of the same house Will and he hits X24 with a car and he continuously fires at him. Will even fires at Logan because Logan was also the reason for his family’s death. But the bullets had finished so Logan is saved. But will dies because he too is injured. Logan takes Laura and the dead body of Charles and buries him. He grieves at Charles’s death because Charles was the one who did a lot to help the mutant children.

 

Logan’s car doesn’t start and he gets frustrated and starts hitting the car. Since Logan had become very weak hence he gets unconscious and Laura takes him to the hospital. He gets well and the get into the car. Laura tells him that she has to reach North Dakota. Logan gets surprised because it was the first time Laura opened her mouth. Logan tries to convince her that there is no such place in real but it is something mentioned only in comics. But Laura gets stubborn and he has to take her there anyway. But Logan had become so weak that he gets unconscious while driving and hence Laura drives the car. They reach North Dakota. Logan faints there too.  All the other mutant children had already reached there. They help Logan to come up the cliff. They inject Logan with a serum that helps Logan to get well.

 

Next day, children tell that they need to get to Canada because it is safe for them there. Logan has to get back now. The following day when Logan gets up, the children had already gone. But Logan also sees that Donald and his team have reached near.  So Logan goes to save the children. He injects himself with the serum to get power and due to this, he fights so well with the Transigen group that he kills them. But the serum stops working soon and he gets weak. Then there arrives the mastermind, Dr. Zander. Logan had killed Dr. Zander’s father in the past to run from the lab. Logan somehow shoots Dr. Zander and attacks Donald too. But there comes X 24 and they start heavily fighting. The mutant children also start attacking Donald and his team and kill them. On the other hand, x 24 has nearly killed Logan. So Laura shoots x24 with the Adamantium bullet and kills him. Logan is very injured and is dying. Logan tells Laura to run away and save herself and never be like others. For the first time, Laura calls Logan ‘Dad’. Logan passes away and they bury him nearby and put a cross sign over there. Laura turns the sign and makes it as ‘X ’ because Logan was experiment no. X. The mutant children are safe and the story ends here.

Into the Wild

The travel drama released on September 21, 2007, is an American movie based on the life of Christopher McCandless( better known as Alexander Supertramp). The movie was extracted from the same book named ‘Into the Wild’ which is the life story of Christopher McCandless who decided to live a very different life apart from normal people. The movie with two nominations at the Oscars was directed by Sean Penn and the screenplay was also shaped by him only.

Plot summary:

The opening sequence of the movie shows the timeframe of 1999 AD where Christopher is seen graduating from his college with a grade A. Being happy with their son, his parents want to gift him a car. But Christopher tells them that his old car is still fine and hence he doesn’t want a new one. But his parents still want him to take the car but he doesn’t accept that.

 

Sometimes after that, he destroys all his identity cards, his documents, credit cards, and certificates. He had 24000 dollars in his account which his parents had given to spend him during his studies. He gives all that money to a charity, takes his bag, and goes far in his car. He is not happy with his parent’s relationship and everything so he wants to leave back all his identity and go to a place where no one knows him. On his way, he stays at a place at night in his car. This area is a flooded area and hence at night his car gets stuck in the flood and hence he has to leave his car there itself and continue his journey on foot. Before leaving the place he takes the number plate of his car off so that no one can identify that it is his car. He even burns all the dollars he had.

 

Now Christopher has nothing but his dreams and his vision and his bag. During his journey, he gets to his destination by asking for lifts. He sleeps anywhere in the forest and stays anywhere he likes just like the whole world is his home. Now he changes his name to Alexander Supertramp. On his journey, he meets a hippie couple. Their names are Rainey and Jan. They give a lift to Christopher and tell him that they are similar to him but the only difference is that they travel in their vehicle whereas Alexander (Christopher) walks on foot.

 

Christopher stays with them for a few days and Rainey tells him that Rainey and Jan have problems in their relationship. Jan was with someone else in the past and he left her so she can’t forget about her past and hence likes to be alone. Rainey even adds that he loves Jan very much.  Christopher tells him that some people think that they deserve love and hence want to be alone to fill the past voids up.  His thoughts make Rainey impressed. As Christopher lives with them, their relationship gets better.

 

Christopher wanted to complete his journey to Alaska all alone so he leaves them and moves forward. He was in Northern California and then he reaches Eastern South Dakota. It has become two months since he left his house. There he meets Wayne Westerberg who has contracts of hectares of fields. Christopher works for him in the field. He operates big machines to harvest the grains. He asks for a gun with Wayne because Alaska is a jungle and hence he wants to be safe and hunt animals too. He gets the gun and Christopher moves forward.

 

Now he has to cross the Colorado River but for that, he has to get permission and hence he goes to the office. The officer tells him to fill his name in the waiting list but it states that his turn will come 12 years hence. He gets shocked and leaves the office. Then he decides to illegally cross the river and gets into it. On the way he finds another couple who tell him that he can go to Mexico from the same route too. He gets followed by the police so he runs away to Mexico. On the way, he stays in a cave for 36 days. He reaches the city and feels very uncomfortable. He moves forward in his journey through cargo trains since he has no money to pay for the passenger trains. But one time, he gets caught by the authority and gets beaten very hard.

 

Then he again decides to ask for a lift. Then once again he gets to meet the same hippie couple Rainey and Jan. There he meets another girl named Tracy. Tracy starts falling in love with him but Christopher doesn’t show much interest in her because first she was too young and second he had to complete his journey. After staying for someday, he continues his journey to Alaska. On his way, he stays at Sheldon City for two weeks in a camp where he meets a man who does leather work. Christopher finds that old man very interesting and starts spending time with him. He tells him that he lost all his family in a car accident. He Christopher leather works too. After learning that Christopher makes a belt for himself where he carves his whole journey in the picture. After spending two months there Christopher decides to head towards Alaska. Both of them had a very good mutual bond. The old man didn’t want him to go but rather wanted him to stay so that he can make him his grandchild. He respects that but he tells that he has to get to Alaska and once he gets back from there they will talk about this.

 

One traveler gives him a lift to the Alaska border. He gives him long boots too. Christopher has now reached his destination Alaska and it has become 21 months since he left his home. He lives in a camp and it is so cold there. He fires the woods and hunts small animals. Now he crosses a river to go to the order side and leaves his hat there as a mark because that would help him know the way when he wants to get back. He finds an old bus and makes it beautiful to live there. He starts getting short of food. He keeps on making new holes in his belt because he gets thinner day by day. Now he realizes that he has to get back and that life is beautiful when lived together and when joys are shared. He realizes that no one can win over nature’s rules and he wants to get back home. He tries to cross that river back but now the river has got very big that it is not possible.

 

Christopher has a habit of writing everything in his journey. Now Christopher has started getting weak because of a lack of nutrition. He eats the roots and fruits of different plants by checking the book. One day he mistakenly consumes a poisonous wild potato and hence starts getting sick. It has been 100 days since he got to Alaska. He starts feeling that he is going to die soon. In his book, he writes “HAPPINESS ONLY REAL WHEN SHARED”. He gets into his sleeping bag and remembers his family and leaves a note for the world stating “I have had a happy life and thank the lord. Goodbye and may god bless all!”. He leaves the world on September 6, 1992. This scene leaves viewers in tears and makes them realize that we should definitely live the life we want to but life is colorless and incomplete without family, the loved ones.

Notting Hill

This romance drama was released on May 13, 1999. The movie was directed by  Roger Michell and the screenplay was written by Richard Curtis.

The movie opens up by introducing a guy named William Thacker who lives in Notting Hill. He owns a small bookshop. His wife had left her for someone else and now he lives with his flatmate Spike. One day,  a famous actress named Anna Scott comes to his shop to buy some books. While she was buying the book, William gets a bit nervous looking at her but nicely fulfills his job as a bookseller. She buys the books and goes from there.

 

One day when she was passing through a street, William too passes through the same street in the opposite direction with coffee in his hand. Mistakenly, they get crashed and William’s coffee spills over her. All her dress gets dirty and that’s why William offers her to go to his house where she can change. She feels that it is a good idea and they get into his house. William is very nervous because such a big actress has come to his house and he asks her if she would like some tea or some coffee and afterward, he asks if she would like to have some apple juice. Anna notices his nervousness too and politely denies having anything. She changes her room and leaves the place.

 

The next day, Anna calls William’s store and tells him that he can come to her hotel if he wants to meet her. William being happy and nervous at the same time goes there. At that time, different interviewers were taking her interview. William also tells the guard that he is a reporter and hence he gets the entrance. He gets into Anna’s place and they chat for some time. Anna tells him that although she is a start she is very simple from the inside. She is not after the name and fame but wants to live a very simple and joyous life which she can’t get. William listens to her with all his patience. William says that tomorrow is his sister’s birthday. Anna asks him if she can come as his date. William gets overwhelmed out of happiness and surprise and says why not.

 

The next evening, Anna comes to his sister’s birthday party as his date. This makes every individual surprised that how a star can come to a party of a normal man. They ask her different questions one after another and she replies to them with full honesty, kindness, and truth. They enjoy the party and the party ends at midnight so William goes to drop her to her hotel. On the way they pass through a beautiful park but it was closed. But Anna wanted to go there. William says that the gate is too high. But Anna gets in there jumping and then William also gets in.

 

They enjoy the beauty of the garden, the peace, and the fragrance of plants at midnight. They come so close that Anna kisses him. And then she says that now they should go to the hotel. But in her room, there was already a man. Anna tells him that he is his boyfriend and she asks him if he wants to stay. He feels bad and he leaves the hotel. William had started liking Anna from their first meeting. But after he got to know about his boyfriend he wants to forget her.

 

It has been six months since their last meeting. He has dated many girls after that but he can’t forget Anna. One day, someone knocks on his door. Surprisingly it was Anna. She asks him if she can come in. She tells him that she is sorry for that day and she didn’t know her boyfriend would come like that. Actually, he was her past lover and it was him who helped her become a start. She actually belonged to a very poor family in the past. In the meantime, William’s flatmate Spike arrives. Looking at such a big start there he gets nervous and gets confused about how to behave.

 

That night, Anna stays at William’s place. They talk about a lot of things, how their lives are;  how a star’s life is, and how a common man’s life is. Anna tells that she wants peace in life and wants no one to interfere in her personal life. William says that he has all she wants but wants some more money in his life to make it more beautiful and easy. That night they get physically intimate.

 

Next morning, when William opens the door and finds a lot of reporters with acamera there. He closes the door and informs Anna. Anna brings her bodyguards there and gets out of his place. After some days, William goes to Anna’s set where her movie’s shooting was going on. Anna asks her to wait for some time till her shoot ends. While waiting, William comes to hear that when her co-star asked her who he is, she replied that he is no one. William gets so sad listening to this. He feels that Anna doesn’t love him but rather is doing time pass and he leaves the place. He feels that there is no meaning in this relationship. He gets hurt every time and he doesn’t even know whether Anna is serious about him or not.

 

The next day, Anna comes to his shop and gives him something that she had in her home so that he can remember her when he sees that. She also asks why he suddenly left the set yesterday. William answering her question tells that he thinks that their relationship will not go in the long run.  He lives in a small place in Notting Hill and they have a very different lifestyle and he asks her to leave him. Anna asks him the reason and William replies that he didn’t like how she told her costar that he is no one. Anna replies that had she told him the reality, he would tell that to the media and her personal life would have been exposed and that’s what she never wanted. But William tells that he can’t bear getting heartbroken every single time. So Anna replies that if he thinks so then it is okay that she will leave but she tells him to understand that she is a girl too who loves someone and expects him to love her too. Telling this Anna goes from that place.

 

That evening, William meets his relatives and tells them everything about them. At first, relatives tell him that all the stars are like that only and he did well whatever he did. But when William told them about the last line that she told, that she is a girl who loves someone and expects him to love her too, his relatives tell him that her feelings for him seem to be real so he should not let her go. William realizes this too and hence they take him to Anna’s place where she was having a press conference. At first, the security didn’t let them in but when his sister showed an identity card of a reporter, they were let go in. William acting as a reporter asks Anna a question about the man William. She replies happily that she still loves him. William asks her if she wants to marry him. Anna replies to him with a big yes. Now the whole media makes stories that Anna is going to get married to a common man. But Anna is worried about everything because she is going to get married to the love of her life.

 

They get happily married and live a very beautiful subtle life. The ending scene of the movie shows that Anna is pregnant lying on the lap of William on the park bench waiting for the baby miracle to happen in their lives soon.

Everything you need to know about Oppenheimer

The movie Oppenheimer, releasing on July 21,2023 is a biographical thriller movie directed by the legendary Christopher Nolan. Nolan, who has directed masterpieces like The Dark Knight, Inception, interstellar, and many more has stunned his fans this time too with the goosebumps-giving trailer. This movie is based on the book American Prometheus written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. Hence the movie is somewhat a biopic of the ‘Father of the atomic bomb’, an American theoretical physicist  J. Robert Oppenheimer. The fans are eagerly wanting to see the collision between this movie and the movie Barbie since the release dates have crashed.

This movie depicts the incidents that happened during World War II at the Manhattan Project. This project, led by J. Robert Oppenheimer gave the world the first-ever nuclear weapon, the atomic bomb.  Not only this, but the movie also displays the psychological rollercoaster and the guilt running through their nerves of Oppenheimer after he made the creation, that holds the potential to destroy the whole world and mankind in a fraction of a second.

 

The 3 minutes trailer makes every viewer overwhelmed and lost in the beauty of the cinematic universe created by Nolan and the team. The trailer shows the huge atomic bomb, which is going to change everything, being created, and the hands behind it. The trailer, beginning with the ticking sound gives every viewer a surreal vibe. We can also see that the scenes post-bombing are shown in black and white depicting how colorless people’s lives have become after the event. These bombs, created by the manhattan project are the same bombs that blew Hiroshima and Nagasaki off. On the other hand, we can see the very guilt and confusion in the eyes of Cillian Murphy, and Oppenheimer(creator of the atomic bomb) in the movie. Murphy’s eyes are filled with deep emotions and his acting skills are seen to be so touching and magical that every viewer watching the trailer feels like they too are Oppenheimer and they are in that very time frame of World War II.

 

The VFX of the movie, as expected, seems to be outstanding as seen in the trailer. Every small detail of the sparks, lines, explosion, the timeframe of world war II shown, the flow of the trailer, how it keeps us engaged and many more gives viewers a very big expectation and assurance that the movie is undoubtedly going to be the counted in Nolan’s masterpiece.

 

The trailer depicts the dilemma in Murphy’s(Oppenheimer’s) mind created due to the confusion of ethics on science on the one hand and political interference, responsibility, and pressure at the same time on the other hand. Nolan has aroused the human psyche and leaves deep questions in the minds of every viewer about whether the atomic bomb, that evaporated the blood of millions is worth being regarded as one of the biggest scientific achievements or not.

The movie Oppenheimer, following the movie Tenet(Lowest scoring movie of Nolan),  is more than simply a biopic and  is confidently expected to mark  its position as the greatest of all time.

 

 

What is summary of To Kill a Mockingbird?

This drama was released on December 25, 1962. The drama is based on Harper Lee’s novel ‘To Kill a Mocking Bird’. The movie was directed by Robert Mulligan and the screenplay was written by Horton Foote. This movie was nominated for eight Oscars namely: Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor, best-supporting Actress, best director, best art direction, best picture, best cinematography, and best original score the movie received Oscars for:

 The opening scene of the movie starts with the narration by an adult lady named Scout. The scene shifts to the flashback where Scout as a little kid is living with her father Atticus Finch and her elder brother in. She has lost her mother and hence her father is a single parent.  They live a happy and simple life together. They have a housekeeper too. During summer Scout and her friend Dill play near the same place that is her neighbor’s house. His name is Arthur Radley. They call him ‘Boo’. Boo is Nathan Radley’s son. People don’t have a good perception of Boo and hence these kids too feel scared around his home. But they have never seen boo since boo never comes out of his house.

 

 They find some items near Boo’s house. The items are a broken watch, a medal, a small knife, and two toys made up of soap which are as same as Scout and her brother Jeremy(Jem). This makes them think suspiciously of Boo. Scout’s dad is a lawyer and he always tries his best to give the right justice to people. Most of his clients are poor farmers who can’t afford to pay for his service and hence they give him grains. Atticus being a lawyer, his children have also understood the racism undergoing in the town.

 

Atticus has got a case where he has to defend Tom Robinson who is charged with raping a white girl. Atticus taking that case leaves the town in shock and even his children are getting affected by wrong behavior in school. One evening when Atticus comes near to the local jail to meet Tom to talk about the case, some people from the town come to him. They are angry with him and want to start a fight. His children come there too. In the angry crowd (which the children are unknown why they have come), Scout sees a known face. His name is Mr. Cunningham. She asks him how his son Walter(who is her classmate)  is and tells him to say ‘Hello’ to him. The whole mob now sees Scout. Mr. Cunningham is silent and the crowd, feeling embarrassed, leaves the place.

 

On the other hand in the court trial, it is said that Tom who works in Ewell’s home came there because Mayella called him and he had started making a wooden wardrobe. Atticus says that Tom is handicapped with his left hand and someone who raped Mayella molested her with his left hand and beat her too. He also adds that Mayella’s dad is a left-handed guy and maybe when he knew his daughter was getting close to Tom, he might have done something out of anger. Mayella was not even examined by the doctor. Tom says that Mayella had kissed him without his consent. He even adds that he used to help her with her chores. He feels bad looking at her situation. Listening to this, the white prosecutors get angry at him.

 

Giving the closing statement, Atticus tells all the jury members that for one time should forget racism and prove Tom not guilty. But they not being able to take off partiality out of their mind decide Tom is ‘guilty’. Atticus, while leaving the court receives respect from all the black people who give a standing ovation to him. Now he goes to his home and Sheriff Tate tells him that they killed Tom when he tried to flee away while getting shifted from one jail to the other. Atticus, with his son, goes to Tom’s home because he wanted to let them know about this heart-wrenching news from him.  Mayella’s father comes there too and spits at the face of Atticus.

 

One day, the children have a fancy dress competition at school. Scout has become a ham and has put on a heavy ham costume. Scout and Ham are returning back to their home through the forest. And suddenly Jem gets attacked by someone. Due to the ham dress Scout is safe but the attacker attacks Jem and the attacker gets killed by someone else. And this savior taking Jem in his arms runs towards Jem’s house. Scout can’t see the savior’s face properly because she is in that costume.

 

Scout runs towards her home and tells everything to her father. Jem is hurt in his hand and feeling weak too. Sheriff informs that it was bob ewell(Mayella’s dad) who attacked him and he has been killed. In the same scene, it is seen that a guy is hiding behind the door. He is Arthur Radley(Boo). It was he who saved the kids. Although the town had suspicious perspectives about this guy, in reality, he was a good human with a shy nature.

 

Atticus says that he will tell the court that Jem killed Bob in self-defense. But the sheriff tells him that he will be telling in a police file that bob ewell lost his life after falling over a knife because he feels that he cannot send someone like Arthur to jail because he saved two young kid’s life.

 

Atticus comes to Arthur and thanks him for saving his children’s life. Scout goes to drop him to his home and the movie ends there.

‘The Adam Project’ is a sci-fi action movie released on March 11, 2022. This incredible movie based on time traveling was directed by Shawn Levy and the screenplay was written by Jonathan Trooper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin.

The opening sequence of the movie shows the time frame of 2050 AD  where a man named Adam is running into space in a spaceship to escape from someone. He even is wounded in his stomach. Behind his spaceship is Maya’s space ship which is continuously firing toward his spaceship. Hence in order to escape from Maya, he makes a wormhole to get back to a different time frame.

 

On the other hand, another time frame of 2022 AD is shown where we see little Adam in his school. Two boys named Ray and Chuck are bullying him and beating him hard. Due to Adam’s restlessness, he keeps on getting beaten by these two people. The school principal also gets to know about their fight and as a result, she suspends three of them from the school for a few days. Adam’s mom comes to pick him up from the school. On their way, Adam explains that it was not his fault but his mom doesn’t believe him at all because she too knows about her son’s mischief. In addition to this it is also shown that his mother is a single parent, her husband has already died.

 

In the other scene, it is shown that Adam is playing in his backyard and his mother calls him to the house to say that she is going somewhere out that evening. Adam asks her if she is going for a date and her mother replies that she is going with her colleague Dereck. Now that Adam is alone in his home, he starts playing video games. But suddenly his room's light turns off and his dog starts barking looking at the forest. This makes Adam very curious and he starts going there with a torch on to check who there is. And then he feels that there must be someone and hence he runs towards the garage. There he finds adult Adam from the future. Looking at him, young Adam asks who he is with a baseball bat in his hand and he starts calling someone too. Adult Adam asks him to not do so and tells him that he will do no harm to him. Young Adam calms down and takes him to his home where adult Adam starts cleaning his wound and puts a band-aid on it.

 

On the other hand, young Adam takes some gadgets out of adult Adam’s bag. Adult Adam warns him to not touch anything from his bag. Young Adam keeps on asking Adult Adam who he is and Adult Adam relies on that he is Young Adam’s future. This makes young Adam speechless and starts getting unconscious and adult Adam gives him an inhaler. They see each other’s same watch which was gifted by their dad. Adult Adam adds that he wanted to go to 2018 but he got mistakenly into 2022.

 

Now both of them head towards the forest where adult Adam shows young Adam his spaceship. Young Adam gets amazed since he had never seen something like that before. But since adult, Adam was injured so the spaceship doesn’t start because the spaceship starts when the DNA of the owner watches. But this time it didn’t work because adult Adam was seriously injured and was bleeding. Since both adult Adam and young Adam have the same DNA, hence young Adam is made to operate the machine and it starts working too. They get into the spaceship and leave the spaceship in self-repairing mode. Adult Adam now goes to the garage and tells young Adam to go to his home. Adult Adam starts looking at his wife's photo. He must be missing her. On the other hand, Adam’s mom comes back home and adult Adam gets emotional since she had already left the world in 2050.

 

The next day after his mom heads towards the office, young Adam goes to the garage to meet adult Adam. His wound was still not fine so they had to go to the pharmacy. Both of them go to a medical store where they get some medicine. When they were returning, they get across the same bullies who start beating young Adam. Adult Adam tells young Adam to not show that he is afraid but rather face with full confidence. And young Adam does that too but gets beaten this time too. This makes him very sad and angry at the same time and he leaves the place. Adult Adam scares the bullies and they run from the place.

 

On the other hand, young Adam is angry with adult Adam and gets into the garage but doesn’t open the door but rather uses his phone. This makes him sad and he goes to a bar. At the bar, adult Adam finds his mom who says another man that her son Adam keeps on fighting with him and doesn’t listen to him at all. Listening to this, adult Adam says that he is just young and mischievous but he definitely loves his mom. His mother doesn’t believe that but Adam says that she will realize this very soon with time.

 

 In the next scene, Maya is shown and she has come to the same time frame of 2022. She sends some robots to get adult Adam back. On the other hand, young Adam is seen asking adult Adam about his wife. Adult Adam adds that his wife Laura had gone to 2018 but has not returned yet. He even shares that Maya told him that Laura has died in a spaceship crash but he doesn’t believe so because Laura was the best pilot. He adds that to find that out he wants to go to 2018. Actually, Adam’s father had made the time-traveling spaceship and Maya was his dad’s partner.

 

During all that adult Adam feels that someone else is there too and he throws a bomb at the door which kills the robot sent by Maya. Some more robots arrive there and adult Adam fights with all of them and all the robots get destroyed. And then Maya sends one of his men who beats adult Adam up and he starts losing. And at that time his life Laura appears surprisingly and they defeat the robots together and Maya runs away. After that, they take young Adam in a car so that they can go to a safe place. But Maya starts following them once again. This time too they fight successfully and find their way.

 

Laura tells adult Adam that someone had gone to 2018 and she too went there to find that out. Laura even adds that his father got permission to work on a project in November 2018. The name of the project was ‘The Adam Project’. She adds that it must be Laura who went to 2018 and she blew Laura’s spaceship off and due to this she got stuck in 2018. Laura in the next scene tells adult Adam that he has to go in 2018 and stop his dad from completing that project and she will stop Maya from getting there. One of Maya’s men comes following them and before he reaches Laura tells Adam to go fast and that she will take care of the rest. Laura blows that man’s car off and even fires at him.

 

On the other hand adult Adam and young Adam get into the spaceship to go to 2018. Young Adam had to go because adult Adam was still injured and he had to start the spaceship. On the other hand, Maya comes to Laura in a spaceship and kills her. After that Maya follows Adam and his younger self. Adult Adam and young Adam get to 2018 in a university where they find their dad and they explain everything. But their father Louis tells them that they have already made a lot of time frames and hence they should get back to their own time and he can’t help them. This makes adult Adam very angry but Louis adds that Maya was the one who started doing that.

 

 

On the other hand, Maya also comes in 2018 where she too meets her younger self. Her younger self tells her that she should not do that because it is wrong. But Maya doesn’t listen to her younger self at all. Now that Louis’s wife also gets to know that both of them are her son so she asks her husband to help them. Adam and his younger self now make a plan to destroy Maya’s workplace. Young Adam and adult Adam together fight against the robots together using various gadgets. But at a moment adult Adam was going to get hit by a car and his father Louis comes to help him. Louis tells him that if they steal a crystal hard drive Maya won’t be able to make the time machine.

 

To take the hard drive, adult Adam and Louis get into the office whereas young Adam is still out. Maya finds young Adam and takes him. On the other hand adult Adam and Louis get the hard drive but Maya tells comes there and asks for the hard drive and she blackmails that she will hurt young Adam. Adult Adam gives a sign to young Adam to get a move and during this Maya’s gun fires a bullet at the machine due to this the electromagnetic field of the machine gets disturbed and as a result, it starts attracting all the magnetic substances. And due to this, robots too get attracted to the machine and one of the robots pulls young Adam with himself, and due to this young Adam gets into the device. Young Adam using a gadget comes out and starts fighting with the men of Maya and the device pulls the man into it and gulps him. Maya on the other hand tries to shoot Louis since he didn’t give the hard drive but due to the same magnetic field the bullet hits younger Maya and due to this the older Maya fades away too.

 

And now adult Adam, young Adam, and their dad get out and the device gets destroyed. Now that they have realized that they will be now going to their own time zone they start playing games and they get to their own time frame soon. Now the scene is shown where adult Adam and Laura have met for the first time and they start talking and fall in love. And with this, the movie comes to an end with a beautiful and happy ending.
